Global Registry of Humanitarian Healthcare Workforce
A platform built to make humanitarian deployments clearer, faster, and easier for everyone involved.
Across crisis and conflict settings, healthcare organizations and professionals often face the same obstacle: finding each other quickly and confidently. Systems are scattered, information is inconsistent, and valuable expertise can go unnoticed.
GROHW was created to simplify that. Developed by the Conflict Medicine Program at the Global Health Institute, GROHW is a purpose-built digital space where professionals can showcase their skills and availability, and organizations can identify the expertise they need without navigating fragmented channels.
GROHW is not a deployment agency. It is a trusted connector—an enabling tool that supports better visibility, smoother coordination, and more informed decision-making during both preparedness and response.
To offer a trusted, user-friendly platform that enables healthcare professionals and humanitarian organizations to connect efficiently and confidently, supporting well-matched and timely deployments.
A global environment where identifying qualified healthcare professionals for crisis response is seamless, coordinated, and grounded in trust—leading to better, faster, and more responsive care for communities in need.
GROHW was built with a simple guiding idea: when information flows better, care reaches people faster.
To bring clarity to how professionals and organizations find each other
To provide a reliable, neutral space that supports ethical and transparent decision-making
To make expertise more visible, from early-career clinicians to seasoned specialists
To offer a streamlined experience that respects the urgency and complexity of humanitarian work
GROHW (Global Registry for Humanitarian Healthcare Workers) is a platform powered by the American University of Beirut's Global Health Institute. It connects healthcare professionals with humanitarian organizations to support crisis and conflict response worldwide.
Healthcare professionals from all disciplines, including doctors, nurses, surgeons, allied health workers, and trainees. Humanitarian organizations seeking skilled professionals for crisis and conflict missions can also join.
Professionals create a profile, upload their credentials, and browse deployment opportunities. Organizations post opportunities, review applications, and select candidates. GROHW facilitates the connection but does not make deployment decisions.
